Azerbaijani media is reporting that the Azerbaijani Army suffered casualties on Tuesday as a result of shooting from Armenian positions. The Azerbaijani News Agency APA says that the fatality happened near Kuropatkino village of Khojavand region, a 19 year old conscript from Jalalabad was killed by Armenian fire according to the agency quoting sources in the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence..
APA also reported another casualty, Lieutenant Tural Nadir Asgarov who it says was also killed by Armenian fire, but it did not state the location. Other reports say that another serviceman was injured.
The shootings come at a delicate moment in the situation of the Armenia and Azerbaijan line of contact as a result of the stalemate that currently exists in the peace process facilitated by the OSCE Minsk Group.

Mammadov has been part of Azerbaijan's ruling circle for a long time.
