The EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Philippe Lefort on Tuesday (5 February) met in Baku with the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev.
The Presidential Press Service said that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and conflict settlement process was discussed during the meeting.
Lefort is in Baku as tension increases on the line of contact separating Armenian and Azerbaijani forces. Twu Azerbaijani servicemen were reported killed and one injured by Armenian fire during the course of the day.
