The Armenian media is reporting that Armenian forces have repelled an Azerbaijani incursion near the town of Kalbajar (Armenian name Karvacar) in the northern sector of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. Armenian Press reports, quoting the Defence Ministry of the self declared Nagorno-Karabakh Republic say that they have captured some Azerbaijani soldiers that were part of the incursion and others escaped. There has been no comment yet from the Azerbaijani side. Kalbajar used to be the administrative centre of the Azerbaijani region of the same name and has been under Armenian control since 1994.
