Armenian sources say that Azerbaijan rifle fire near the Voskepar-Baghanis motorway in the Tavush Province resulted in the closure of the major traffic artery for half an hour on Friday.
The Armenian news portal news.am said that it was told by the Mayor of Voskepar village Yervand Yeganyan that traffic flow was restored soon after. Azerbaijan has not reported the incident but reported twelve cease fire violations overnight. Tavush Province is situated in the north of Armenia on the international border between Armenia and Azerbaijan and not in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. Several incidents in the area were reported last year.
