Azerbaijan is to create the posts of First Vice president and Vice President. The proposal is part of a package of constitutional changes that have been sent to the Constitutional Court, prior to being submitted for the approval of the people in a referendum.
The constituional package also envisages extending the term of office of the President from five to seven years, and it reduces the age of eligibility for the Presidency, as well as for members of parliament.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan told Armenian MPs discussions on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict will continue in June in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group process.
On Tuesday, Armenian foreign ministry spokesperson Tigran Balayan told the Armenian media that the Azerbaijani side was carrying out engineering works at the Nakhchivan sector of the border, and that this "poses a danger to Armenian military positions".
