The European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for the South Caucasus, Ambassador Herbert Salber has started a visit to the region, during which he is scheduled to meet the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan as part of the European Union's efforts to strengthen relations with the two countries and contribute to the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
EUSR Salber will be in Armenia at the end of this week, where he is expected to meet with president Serzh Sargsyan. Next week EUSR Salber will be in Baku where he is expected to meet president Ilham Aliev.

"Armenia will focus on the expansion of economic cooperation in the BSEC region, and will promote the agenda through existing mechanisms in the upcoming six months", Foreign Minister Nalbandian told the organisation's Ministerial Council at its meeting in Kiev.
