The European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for the South Caucasus, Herbert Salber, who is currently on a visit to the region, on Thursday visited the town of Barda to meet Azerbaijanis displaced by the Karabakh conflict and to familiarise himself with the situation among communities most directly affected by the conflict.
Speaking to journalists, Salber said that "the nature of this conflict should be carefully considered. The main issue for us is that concerns of the people affected by the conflict should be heard."

A new Ukrainian Orthodox Church, independent from Moscow, has been agreed at a special Unification Council in Kiev. The head of the new Church will be Metropolitan Epiphany of Pereyaslav and Belotserkovsk
Hopes for a breakthrough in discussions on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict have increased since president Aliyev and prime minister Pashinyan had an informal discussion on Karabakh on the margins of the summit of the CIS states in Dushambe in September 2018
