Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will pay a one day official visit to Armenia on Wednesday.
Mher news agency reported from Tehran that President Rouhani will pay visits to Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan at the official invitation of his counterparts in the three countries. The agency said that the visits were part of the government's policy "to strengthen ties and deepen cooperation with neighboring and regional countries".
After his visit to Armenia Rouhani is expected to travel to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Rouhani will be accompanied by several ministers and deputies during his regional tour, the agency added.
President Rouhani visited Azerbaijan in August, when he also participated in the first trilateral meetings of the heads of state of Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran.
