Armenian prime minister Nikol Pashinyan made a surprise working visit to Nagorno Karabakh on Thursday.
In Stepanakert the Armenian prime minister met with the head of the de facto unrecognised Nagonro-Karabakh Republic (NKR), Bako Sahakyan. No details of the discussions have been released.
The meeting comes as the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk process that is trying to mediate a solution to the Karabakh conflict are visiting the region.
Earlier in the day Pashinyan answered questions in the Armenian parliament before a vote that triggered the dissolution of the legislature enabling parliamentary elections to be held on 9 December,
On Thursday evening Pashinyan posted on his facebook page that he was taking a few days rest until Monday.
