Anna Aghajanyan has been appointed Head of the Representation of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union. She will also serve as her country's Ambassador to Belgium.
Anna Aghajanyan replaces the long serving Head of Mission, Tatul Margaryan.
The appointment comes at a key moment in relations between Armenia and the EU with both sides hoping to build on the good will that has been generated by EU support for Armenia to deal with the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic in recent months, and with the coming into force of the new co-operation agreement between the two countries which is expected to be fully ratified soon.
