Armenian prime minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced the appointment of a new Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, a new Head of Police and new Head of the National Security Service.
In a post on his facebook page, the prime minister wrote
"Dear compatriots, I have made a number of important decisions. Accordingly,
Lieutenant General Onik Gasparyan is appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
Colonel Argishti Kyaramyan is appointed director of the National Security Service.
Colonel Vahe Ghazaryan is appointed Chief of Police.
The decisions will enter into force de jure after being signed by the President of the Republic.
I would like to thank Lieutenant General Artak Davtyan, Colonel Eduard Martirosyan, Colonel Arman Sargsyan for their work and efforts during this period, "Pashinyan wrote.
